Freight Transfer ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and the security of your personal information. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and in the course of providing our transport and logistics services, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It is written to meet our obligations under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988–2018.

Information we collect
- Enquiry details: your name, email address, phone number, collection and delivery details, the service you are interested in, and anything else you choose to include in your message when you use our contact or call-back forms.
- Customer and job records: contact and billing details, consignment information, delivery addresses and paperwork needed to carry out and invoice the work.
- Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and time spent, collected through cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for detail.
How and why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry, quote for work and arrange collections and deliveries.
- To administer accounts, issue invoices and keep the records our business requires.
- To keep our website secure, reliable and easy to use, and to improve our services.
- To meet legal duties, including transport, waste-permit, tax and accounting obligations.
Our legal bases
We rely on performance of a contract to deliver the services you book; our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, running and protecting the business; legal obligation where the law requires us to keep or disclose records; and consent for optional cookies and for any marketing messages, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only where necessary with sub-contracted hauliers and delivery partners carrying out your job, our accountants and professional advisers, and the IT and hosting providers that run this website and our enquiry records. Those providers act on our instructions under written agreements. We also disclose information where we are legally required to do so.
International transfers
Our data is stored within the European Economic Area wherever possible. Where a service provider processes data outside the EEA, we rely on an adequacy decision or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses to protect it.
How long we keep it
Website enquiries are kept for up to two years so we can follow up and answer queries. Records relating to completed jobs, invoicing and tax are kept for seven years to meet Irish accounting and revenue requirements. Information no longer needed is securely deleted.
Keeping it safe
Enquiries submitted through this website are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in an access-controlled system available only to authorised staff. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request erasure or restriction of processing, to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Children
Our website and services are intended for business and adult use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The current version is always published on this page with the date it last changed.
